I recently moved here and was in search of a good Jamaican food spot. I’ve been here twice & I’ll be back. The owners are always pleasant & friendly. I got the oxtail plate the first time and I wasn’t impressed (I don’t like the sauce the oxtails are in and they also put it on the rice so I didn’t care for that either) but the jerk chicken plate was divine. The macaroni is really good too. 9/10 definitely recommend!

We were traveling through Ocala and decided to stop at Tropical Delight, and we are so glad we did! The food was absolutely incredible. I ordered the medium jerk chicken plate, and it was packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. I’m already planning to get it again the next time I’m in town! My cousin got the large oxtails plate and couldn’t stop raving about how amazing it was. Every bite was seasoned to the T! We enjoyed the food so much that we ended up going back before leaving town to pick up more meals to take home for our families. Tropical Delight truly lives up to its name, delicious, flavorful, and worth the stop. Highly recommend!
Best Jamaican food I ever had! We ate the Jerk Chicken because the Oxtail was out. We also tried the goat for the first time! It was so flavorful, the curry paired so well with the meat! The lemon cake was yummy! Fun / clean atmosphere!
Such a great find! The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered take out and had to go back to dine in. My favorite was the beef patties and the goat curry platter with plantains. Authentic flavors and great hospitality! The owners were a pleasure to talk to and gave us samples of their oxtail to try as well. If only I lived close enough to make this a regular spot but it’ll definitely be our go to whenever we visit the area.
Absolutely loved this place! Everything was so good, even the chicken! I usually dont like chicken much, but the jerk chicken here completely changed my mind. We also tried the oxtail and it was incredible. The food came out super fast, everything was very clean, and the customer service was top-notch. And yes—it’s halal! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Highly recommend. Everyone should check it out!
As soon as you walk in you can smell how good the food will taste before you even order. They have produce that is just like Jamaica including some biscuits, candy and drinks that give such a great feeling of nostalgia. The drinks are super refreshing and food is even more amazing. The medium size is more than big enough to take home left overs. The prices are more than reasonable The owner and the chef are very hospitable. The patties have the perfect amount of flavor and crisp to them and juice on the inside, and the overall atmosphere is very relaxing with traditional reggae music in the background. I highly recommend.
Wow !! I come from south Florida and I have had some amazing Jamaican food in the past. But this place RIGHT HERE!! Is no joke! This is hands down my new favorite spot! Portion size is really good and the flavor is unbelievable! Thank you for the experience I will be back tomorrow.
This place was great, it provides me and my family a home feeling. Food and portions was perfect. And price is fair. I will bring my family again. The owner brought us a special treat because we was celebration my in law birthday. He enjoyed is dinner. God bless this place. Thanks again.
